Cryoshell from 2006 to 2017 and beyond

This is a small tribute to all the people who have followed Cryoshell since 2006 and their amazing patience. Now you can be a part of this new beginning. We will keep the epic feeling alive but take it to a new place beyond the horizon with a new purpose. Say hello to the band on their first day on the new project. Nobody knows the future but you can be certain it is coming so choose your course and remember to bring some personal and powerfull music.

Still "Emergency on planet earth"

This is my interpretation of a 2017 version of the 1993 Jamiroquai album "Emergency on planet Earth"

On May 17, 1993. 24 years ago, something epic and magic happened on my musical world map. For many years I had been into jazz, funk and soul and I had been chasing rare vinyl albums in strange record stores since my early teens. Suddenly this album "Emergency on planet Earth" landed on my turntable and a lot of dots connected. Suddenly the music I loved for it's groovy ear catching quality carried a message of purpose. Not just the usual text subjects but danceable music that actually at the same time made you think. In the middle of this small revolution (in my book) stood the amazing Jay Kay who in some way managed to merge funk with a purpose. He displayed the coolest style in a mix of sporty, hippie and funky, and he could dance like never seen before. I was blown away and many years later when I first sketched the idea to my story universe Rebel Nature, it was actually to the sound of Jamiroquai.
Jamiroquai and Jay Kay represents the perfect picture of the situation our civilisation is facing right now. They amplify the knowledge about our planet and environment and the epic challenges we face yet at the same time they have a party and dance the worries away. Living the dream with fast cars, private jets and models in bikinis.
When raising kids they do what you do, not what you say, so in this case we tent to hear the music, have the party, dream about the star life and then forget the purpose.

If this post ever reached Jay Kay, I would beg Jamiroquai to reissue "Emergency on planet Earth" in a 2017 version or 2018 making it a 25 years anniversary, and have Jay Kay drive a electric supercar.

Here is a link for the video that is still depressingly relevant here in 2017.

NOT just another day at the Ghost office!!!

It was never in question but today it is official that Ghost VFX deliver the stuff legends are made of. The poster you see here with dedication from ILM and the director, appeared in the Ghost office and we all vent to Copenhagen's biggest cinema to see Rogue One and guess who was on the creditlist...
Ghost VFX is simply the best and most dedicated company with the coolest crew.
It is amazing, quite surreal and historic for a Danish company and it promises great for future epic projects like our own Rebel Nature. Christmas definitely came early this year.

Exaggerated?

#RebelNature is all about using story and visuals to make change in our approach to consumption and environment. Plastic in nature is a big issue but often it is covered by waves and foliage so here are 3 visuals where the problem is difficult to overlook.
Please use, share and spread these posters if you agree that we and the coming generations have a giant issue right outside our door. Try to consider if you really need that plastic bag or that plastic lid for your coffee to go.

What you don't see will hurt you...

I apologise for this sinister image but it is an image that has grown in my mind and I had to try to create it.
If you see it upside down you might recognise an old black/white picture from 1945.

I fear that the plastic pollution of the oceans is to resemble with a slow detonating bomb of unknown magnitude and effect. The bomb has exploded but the effect is longterm and probably won't effect me and if I'm lucky not my kids but then what.
We are going to be measured very hard by future generations if we don't act knowing what is wrong. So like smoking some years ago was considered a human right and now is strictly regulated. Our use and attitude to plastic has to change dramatically. Plastic is oil and it has to be contained. If a supertanker spills oil in the ocean it becomes a giant press story but the 8 million ton of plastic that is estimated to be spilled in the ocean each year all over the world goes invisible.
It ought to be a human duty to collect plastic everywhere we see it and not a human right to throw it away. If we don't start acting biology will change and nature will rebel. RebelNature is an adventure but it has a very important inspiration.

COP21, Make a positive footprint, please!

Right now World leaders are gathering in Paris for COP21 where the future of life as we know it is being debated and decided. Talking about an epic challenge. This is our reality and our legend. Forget Star Wars and galaxies far away. This is Earth and it is happening right now. I wish that saving the planet could get as much attention and energy from creative and resourceful people across the globe as a feature fantasy film universe that is soon in theatres worldwide.
Here is my hope for COP21 put into poster form. Please share and/or like and lets take action to make things better. We better fix these environmental problems because nobody will be leaving this planet in the near future and the moon is not an option.

"Seeing faces" - The DR Ironman rebuild

I recently visited the DR City. The headquarters of the Danish national broadcasting corporation (DR) It is great when architecture is this bold and daring and gives associations.

Being a compulsive "face finder" I couldn't help reimagining one of the structures in the inner hall of the main building:)
Here is the transformation in 4 steps. The first picture is how it actually looks.

Just another morning on my way to work in CPH:)

Copenhagen is a beautiful city but right now most of the town is undergoing construction work. The new Metro is being build with stations popping up all over the city. In this case at the Town hall. This morning it looked like the prep for a rocket launch with astronauts boarding, tall cranes and dramatic haze so I gave the thought a little help:)

Live news from Cryoshell

Get a sneak peek at an acoustic rehearsal session with Cryoshell performing "No More Words". It was recorded in the fall of 2013 in Copenhagen. Filmed, Recorded and edited by Hannibal Lang-Jensen. I doubled as roady and sound guy that night carrying equipment and holding microphones, great fun.
